Gifting Program for Families of Prematurely Born Infants

Through a collaborative effort, we design and donate specialty gift bags which include souvenir “going home” outfits  for babies who have spent the beginning part of their lives receiving critical treatment and gaining strength in the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit of UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco.    We are able to fund this project through volunteer efforts and generous donations from local businesses and members of our community.

Close to 400 “preemies” receive treatment at UCSF per year.  Our goal is to establish our pilot project at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco and continue to implement this project in other hospitals in California.  The Early Bird Project was launched in December 2007.
